1.
Forever Shut 04:06
Had a beautiful time but my face would never fit. Square in the circle. Nothing but smiles of deceit. Saw it long ago. Ever since you decide to hide it all away. Silent treatment leads to death of the soul. Old and wise. Feeding on white lies. So glad you found what you wanted. We weren’t so compatible after all. Old and wise and can’t disguise. My heart was open. It’s now forever shut. It’s now shut forever. Forever shut.
2.
You push away and could never say, the joy has decayed. Past making change. You knew the way of what became of the infatuation. It’s bleak. Without infatuation I’m weak. Remind myself yet again that I said so. I’ve learnt before. Love ends in apathy. Don’t look back. You’ll fall down. Familiar chasms await you. Look at me, look at you. Look what became of us. Indifference. Fuck. Now I shall feed amongst the crows. Your sticks and stones have cut my bones.
3.
June 02:40
Clean the slate. I need to re-erase through the haze. Another lulling gaze. Female sap. Disconnect. Appreciate today. Your company made me wholesome. Forget yesterday. Your misery made me welcome. Underneath the skin I’m blistered again. The bottom line is I don’t need your face, I don’t need your games, I don’t need your ways, I don’t need your face. I don’t need you.
4.
Love will fall. A gaping hole replaces my dead heart. Disillusion grows like hair on your head. What to say, what is there to say? What to say when our bond gets weaker by the day. My laboured vessel can’t harbour this haul anymore, like I have before. This unrest under duress. Dying. Lustless in our bed of cold.

about

Following the release of well received debut record 'Mire', Eulogy have returned sooner than expected with a somewhat surprising extended play - Cardiac Black. Four songs tracked live at Southampton's The Ranch Production House with engineering and mixing duties again handled by the ever prestigious Lewis Johns (Bastions, Kerouac, Grappler, Goodtime Boys).

This EP attempts to display the rawness and off-kilter instability of Eulogy's energetic live show through the medium of brand new material. Clocking in at 17 minutes, Cardiac Black takes you to all ends of Eulogy's musical spectrum, from the mountainous and brutal chords of opener 'Forever Shut' to the spacious and hauntingly melodic passages put on show by closer 'Laboured Vessel', the result is both introspective and monolithic.

No doubt the band's most aggressive and seething output yet, the lyrical themes reflect this, touching upon personal and consuming hardships.

With the spirit of Cardiac Black's writing and recording in mind, it also seemed fitting to make the EP an entirely self released and special production.

Cardiac Black is available now on 'Jelly Red' cassette tapes limited to 20 COPIES. Cassettes come with an equally limited heavy cotton t-shirt, 170g silk poster, and digital download card. All that for £12.
